The Hosts communities of Nigeria led by the National Chairman of Hosts Communities of Nigeria producing oil and Gas., Dr . Mike Emuh earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Minister of Environment, Dr. Mahmood Muhammad today Tuesday 3rd March, 2020.
The National Chairman briefed the Hon. Minister on the various Engagement with the federal government under president Muhammadu Buhari’s regime, which is the professional body established by Act of 2002.
The national chairman HOSCON informed the Hon. Minister that, the Hosts Communities of Nigeria producing oil and gas is the foremost grassroots organization presenting all the communities within the oil and gas producing area in the Niger Delta pipeline imparted states in Nigeria.
About the federal Government Executives Gazette:
” The idea is that, a community shall be setup under Gazette be charged with the responsibility to managed and apply the funds to well and approved projects on behalf of the oil and gas producing communities.
In the same vein, the Minister of Environment, Dr Muhammad Mahmoud said that,
“The federal government is very interested in Niger Delta and the president is so desperate about the project to be implemented by the United Nations. He added that, they are putting more effort to clean up Ogoni land.
He added that from the information he gathered, he will know what needs to be done.
