Palestine Calls For UN -Backed Independent Probe Of Mass Grave.
The State of Palestine has pushed for UN-backed Independent Investigator to probe the circumstances culminating to the Gaza Strip mass grave.
The Embassy of the State of Palestine Representative, Ambassador Abdullah M. Abu Shawesh, who made the call, further stressed that the culprits should be made to face justice.
Abu Shawesh spoke while reacting to the distressing discovery of mass graves in the Gaza Strip.
It would be recalled that it is over 209 days of frenzy genocidal war against the Palestinian people and still they face horror and displacements in their home with the war leaving an estimated 37 million tons of debris and unexploded ordnance.
The Ambassador said, it could take 14 years to clear the unexploded ordnance and rubble done on the Palestinians
Quoting Femi Fani-Kayode, Shawesh said, “You cannot wish away or dismiss the truth no matter how bitter and you cannot deny the facts no matter how ugly” these significant number of mass graves is concerning, and he calls for an independent investigation committee with specialized expert technical support to be established by the UN to investigate the issue.
Shawesh pleads for justice on the number of Palestinian martyrs which have reached 34,535, with 77,704 wounded, leaving thousands of others who are still missing under the rubble or subjected to enforced disappearance in Israeli occupation detention centers, pregnant women and new mothers are struggling to survive, it’s unimaginable with shortage of food, water and medical attention
The struggle for survival is becoming difficult by the day, The Palestinian Minister of Transport, Tariq Zourub, declared that the losses of the transportation sector in the Gaza Strip exceeded 3 billion, leaving the occupation destroyed at about 945 km of roads and 55,000 vehicles.
The Ambassador said, According to the Euro-Med Monitor “their filed team documented the recovery of dozens of bodies from the mass graves in Alshifa Medical Complex’s courtyard, belonging to handcuffed victims, other individuals who were wounded but not provided with medical care, and those who were executed despite their health conditions.
“The victims decomposing bodies were found in several places, with some having been run over by the Israeli bulldozers which left their bodies torn into pieces
“The rescue teams recovered dozens of deceased Palestinians from mass graves created by the Israeli army at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis. A total of 392 bodies were found in three mass graves at the Nasser Medical Complex.
“165 out of the 392 bodies were unidentified and could not be identified due to suspicions that some of the victims had been subjected to organ theft, some bodies hand ties, some opened abdomen, and other bodies shows signs of torture.
Shawesh condemns the inhumane treatment of the Palestinian He said, “We are all witnessing deep and real changes in the global discourse and political arena, We are at an inflection point.
“The profound and broad changes that are taking place now everywhere around the world, indicate that Israel has lost its position as an eternal victim once and for all.
As a true patriot, Shawesh stands for justice for the people of the Palestinian, hopeful that peace will prevail.
