*OIL PRODUCERS TRADE SECTION VISIT THE NAVAL HEADQUARTERS.

A Delegation of Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its Executive Director, Mr Gwueke Ajaifa paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Naval Staff(CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla at the Naval Headquarters on Tuesday 2 July 2024.

The visit was critical in view of the role played by the Nigerian Navy in protecting oil and gas infrastructure and combating security challenges affecting oil and gas production.

The OPTS appreciated the cordial relationship with the Nigerian Navy and further solicited support to achieve increased oil production.

In response, the CNS welcomed the delegation and noted the need for increased synergy incorporating a whole of society approach to tackling security challenges.

He stated that the success of Operation DELTA SANITY over the last 6 months has demonstrated that security partnerships are effective in eradicating crude oil theft and other maritime crimes.
