The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Brigadier General Abubakar Haruna has charged troops of 28 Task Force (TF) Brigade (Bde) Chibok to sustain the onslaught against the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) and other insurgents in the North East (NE).
Brigadier General Haruna gave the charge on Wednesday, 11 December, 2024 while on operational visit to 28 TF Bde Chibok. On arrival at the Bde Headquarters, the GOC was received by the Bde Commander, Brigadier General Bede Amakor and thereafter inspected the quarter guard mounted in his honour. He was later given an operational brief.
The GOC thereafter addressed the troops of the Bde where he charged them to continue to remain loyal and disciplined to the constituted authority. Stressing that the Nigerian Army under the able leadership of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede is committed towards professionalism, troops welfare and respect for rule of law.
He reiterated with emphasis that troops must shun all forms of nefarious activities especially issues of arms racketeering and other acts inimical to the profession of soldiering as any defaulters will be made to face the severe wrath of the law. While assuring them of more support to aid their operations, he advised the troops to maintain constant communication with their families, ensure their welfare and take leave out of the Theatre to visit in line with the standing operational procedure of OPHK.
The GOC was accompanied by Commanders of units and formations, and Staff officers of 7 Division.
