Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have intensified offensive operations under Operation DESERT SANITY V, achieving major successes against terrorist elements in coordinated ground and air assaults.
The operations were carried out in two key locations Timbuktu axis near Azir Bridge and the Bulabulin Forest by troops of Sector 2 working closely with the Air Component Command.

According to the statement “In the Bulabulin Forest axis, troops alongside the Sector 2 Stabilisation Force Brigade and Civilian Joint Task Force launched clearance operations across multiple terrorist enclaves.
The affected areas included Mar, Subdu, Yaro Lawanti, and Yaro Shuwari, as well as surrounding communities linked to the Kamadogu Yobe stretch.
During the offensive, troops encountered terrorists at Malam Shiri Village and engaged them using a coordinated flanking manoeuvre supported by air strikes.
The encounter led to the neutralisation of 11 terrorists, while several others fled with injuries as troops destroyed their operational bases.
Recovered items from the operation included 9 AK-47 rifles, 3 PKT anti-aircraft machine guns, 5 motorcycles, ammunition, and IED-making materials.
In a separate engagement along the Wajiroko Sabongari corridor in the Timbuktu axis, troops again clashed with terrorists with support from the Air Component.
The troops held their ground and eliminated 7 terrorists, with evidence suggesting even higher casualties due to blood trails and scattered remains.
Additional weapons recovered in the Timbuktu axis included AK-47 rifles, RPG tubes, large quantities of ammunition, bandoliers, and communication equipment.
Air support played a decisive role in both operations through surveillance, precision strikes, and real-time coordination, while troops continue follow-up operations to track fleeing insurgents and prevent regrouping.
