The Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dunoma Umar Ahmed, has arrived in New Delhi to represent the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, at the ongoing BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting taking place on May 14 and 15, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam.
The high level gathering brings together foreign ministers and senior diplomats from BRICS member and partner countries to deliberate on key global economic and political issues.
The meeting, chaired by India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, is focused on strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing global governance, and addressing regional conflicts and emerging international challenges.
The deliberations are also expected to lay the groundwork for the upcoming 18th BRICS Summit scheduled to hold later this year.
