Broadcast Signal Distributors (BSD), Facility tour continued today, as NBC Board members paid a visit to the Integrated Television Services (ITS), Operational Centre in Jos, Plateau State.
Barr. Salihu Bamidele Aluko, represented the Chairman, Alhaji Ikra Aliyu Bilbis.
The Board was received by the General Manager of ITS, Mr. Musa Sadiq Omeiza.
At the operational center of ITS, Barr. Aluko disclosed that they were in Jos to assess the operations of ITS in preparedness of the new DSO roll out timeline and to ensure a seamless transition of the Digital Switch Over in the other parts of the country.
He stressed that the Buhari administration was committed to the DSO project which he said necessitated the tour despite the challenging times.
In his response, the GM, thanked his visitors and further gave a brief on the operations of the ITS, noting that the Integrated Television Services has been transmitting since 2016 non- stop, with 30 active channels.
Mr. Omeiza further assured the Board members of the unflinching commitment of ITS towards the completion of the DSO project.
The visit was a continuation of an earlier visit to the ITS administrative office in Abuja.
In another development, the Board visited the NBC Zonal Office in Jos and was received by the Zonal Director, Mrs. Mercy Idenyi.
