Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, participated in the 26th Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting held at Lancaster House in London.
The meeting brought together foreign ministers from across the Commonwealth to deliberate on pressing global issues affecting member states.
During the session, ministers reviewed emerging geopolitical and economic challenges while discussing ways to strengthen cooperation among Commonwealth countries.
The gathering also focused on aligning priorities ahead of the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Discussions highlighted the importance of collective action in promoting peace, economic resilience, and democratic governance within the Commonwealth.
Participants emphasized the need for stronger coordination among member states to address global uncertainties and support sustainable development.
Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to active multilateral engagement and collaboration within the Commonwealth.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the country remains dedicated to initiatives that foster shared prosperity, stability, and progress among Commonwealth nations.
