Headquarters Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA hosted a delegation from the Air Force War College.
The visit took place on 29 April 2026 in the Joint Area of Operations.It was part of the college’s national study tour programme.
The delegation was led by the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Gambo Mbaka.
In a statement signed By lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja,Media Information Officer Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA on thursday in Abuja said that,they were received by the Theatre Commander, Major General Warrah Idris.
The team was briefed on the operations of FANSAN YAMMA.Major General Idris welcomed the delegation and commended the college.
He praised its role in producing capable and resilient commanders.He emphasized the importance of jointness in military operations.
The commander called for stronger collaboration among service war colleges.He suggested exchange programmes for staff and officers.
He encouraged participants to engage actively and ask critical questions.He noted the value of firsthand operational experience.Air Vice Marshal Mbaka expressed appreciation for the warm reception.
He described the college as a premier military training institution.He highlighted training modules on operational art and joint planning.
He stressed the importance of air power in military and civil operations.He commended the joint task force’s role in tackling insecurity.
The delegation included faculty members and officers from Nigeria and Ghana.The visit ended with discussions, register signing, group photos, and presentation of souvenirs.
